Very good saw for the money.
This saw has a substantial feel and is relatively well balanced. The noise level is about average for this type of saw. The blade speed is quite good and the saw draws through most wood very smoothly. I have not yet tried it on very hard wood. Nice circular saw for lefties.
Great Saw for Lefties in particular. I needed a new circular saw and I'm a lefty. i figured I would check this out. So far I have not done a project with it but I will. It seems very solidly built, has a nice long power cord. Years back, Skil got a little over profit-motivated and the quality of their tools suffered. TIMES HAVE CHANGED! This is the best quality circular saw I have ever had. I really love the "left-hand" orientaion. It is actually very good for the right handed operator because you can see your cut so much better. Best saw next a Skil Wormdrive!!! Most people think that this saw is for left handed people only. But they are mistaken! Left blade saws are for the Serious DIY'ers and Pro's that KNOW HOW to use a circular saw! They give you better visibility of what you're cutting and better control of the saw. And are safer than normal saws, because you do not have to lean over the saw to see what you are cutting. Some people may disagree with me, and even leave negative comments about my opinion on this saw. But for the people who use this type of saw on a regular basis will agree with me. Right hand wood worker and craftsman
