With passion, focus and seemingly limitless endurance, Erin has achieved her dream. And now she''s sharing that dream with the world - everyone from fellow flower enthusiasts to emerging farmer-florists to veteran designers yearning for a new, seasonal and sustainable model of floristry. The essentials are all here in the pages of Floret Farm''s Cut Flower Garden, and like everything Erin does, it is both lovely and practical. This is a comprehensive, must-have companion as you pursue your own authentic life in flowers." --Debra Prinzing, author and founder of slowflowers.com "Among a sea of new florists and floral books, Floret Flowers stands out. Erin Benzakein''s integrity, openness and passion for flowers is unmistakable. In her debut book she not only introduces us to the basics of growing our own flowers, she shares her deep love and understanding of gardening in a way that will leave even the most doubtful grower feeling inspired to get their hands in the dirt." --Grace Bonney, founder of Design Sponge and author of In the Company of Women "Erin Benzakein is my flower hero and her book is my new flower bible. Not only is she the undisputed heart and soul of the farmer-florist movement, her arrangements are some of the most exquisite I''ve ever seen. Her first book is deliciously gorgeous and incredibly comprehensive- combining practical advice alongside a huge overdose of seasonal inspiration. Her secrets for extending the vase life of each variety are mind bendingly useful for me and will be referenced time and time again. My copy will be soil covered and weather beaten before long and cherished all the more for it." --Amy Merrick, Amy Merrick Flowers & Styling "Do you love flowers? Love the title

The book is a great quality in itself, not to mention reading it is so interesting. I’ve gardened for many years, and, have learned some valuable information in this book. I would recommend it to everyone. The pictures are impressive also. Beautiful book.

    Bouquet Designer

I like the pictures and she covers the basics well. What I was wishing for was more in-depth instruction on how to arrange bouquets - even market-style bouquets. She only gives one bouquet example per season. I’d like a book that gives clear direction on what to grow per season to make well-arranged bouquets. Any suggestions?

  • Beautiful book

This book is beautifully put together. Lovely photos and clear descriptions. I particularly like that she starts at the beginning with the basics of growing flowers. Useful if you need the basics. And then goes more in depth for the varieties included in the book. And even better she shows you what you can do with them with “recipes” for flower arrangements. Even if you don’t have the exact flowers listed in your yard you can use similar flowers. Ie. tall and spikey, round and blousy. The recipes serve as great jumping off points. And the book is a pleasure to flip through.

  • lovely book

The book is really nice and designed beautifully with beautiful and clear photographs. I really like the size of the book, it is very convenient for me, not too big, not too small. And the book isn't too heavy which is also a cool aspect. I like the tips on growing your own flowers from zero although I would like to see more inspiration on floral designs and arrangements.
