Gamers travel back to the dawn of modern war to fight through the trenches of WWI and engage in epic multiplayer combat in Battlefield 1. EA's long-running first-person shooter brings the horrors of The Great War to life, with players wielding brutal melee weapons perfect for trench warfare, blasting holes in the environment with early machine guns, and clambering over barbed wire to avoid suffocating mustard gas. The game also includes a variety of vehicles, including tanks, horses, planes, and zeppelins, all of which come into play during the anthology-style solo campaign. Instead of focusing on one character, Battlefield 1 spreads the single-player campaign across all fronts of the war. Gamers engage in dogfights against the German aces in the skies over the western front, work alongside Lawrence of Arabia to help rebel tribes in the Middle East, and slog through the mud of Cambrai, France as part of a crew dealing with an unreliable tank. The campaign environments are larger than in previous series titles, giving players multiple ways to meet their objectives. Multiplayer remains a huge component of the series, and Battlefield 1 lets up to 64 gamers battle across nine maps in six different modes. Players can choose from eight distinct character classes, including the new Tanker class, and the new squad system lets friends enter and leave game servers together. Gamers can compete in classic Conquest, Domination, and Team Deathmatch modes, while Operations mode sees battles stretch across multiple maps, Rush mode finds players attacking or defending telegraph posts, and War Pigeons mode is a race to find a randomly placed carrier pigeon coop in order to call in artillery strikes. This Early Enlister Deluxe edition gives gamers access to the full game three days before its official launch, and includes the Hellfighter, Red Baron, and Lawrence of Arabia packs, five battle packs, and three vehicle skins.Product Identifiers

Very fun and compelling story!
The gameplay is intense and so are the graphics. I did not play multiplayer, but the campaign is very good, but short. The storyline is what makes the campaign great, and it's hard to put down the controller. Not many games touch on the subject of WW1, so the experience and storytelling in this game is like a movie. WW-Bummed
All the hype of the game made it something very much wanted...when played, the expectations of a great game were destroyed. Its disjointed in its story...all the different story lines should in someway connect, and not just by the overall context of WWI...I felt very disappointed in the game, and then to find out that the trade in value or resale value is a third of the cost of the game was just ridiculous...I normally dont sell or trade in games for systems I am currently using...but this game overall was a huge disappointment and a mistake purchase.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The forgotten generation
Battlefield 1's campaign was very compelling, bring to life the horrors of WW1 . While many games and movies have been made depicting the violence of WW2 romantisizing the heroism displayed in that war, the entertainment industry has for the most part ignored the story of "the war to end all wars". This setting is both refreshingly new and brutally horrific all while educating the player of the different perspectives from the era. The multiplayer is well done, well balanced and fun turning loose a massive array of weaponry and equipment on large strategic maps. The Risk That Paid Off
Short version: It's awesome, go play it! Long version: As someone who took a hiatus from online multiplayer games for almost a year, I saw the first trailer for Battlefield 1 and was impressed. The Battlefield series has been staying in modern times with Call Of Duty pushing for futuristic warfare so to go back to WW1 was a bold and daring. However, I played Battlefield 4 about 2 years and I wasn't really happy with it so I decided to wait and see what everyone else thinks and what Call of duty has up their sleeves. COD: WW2 was released in November (correct me if I'm wrong) and while it was cool, it didn't impress me like I thought it would. So I decided to go for and get the game. I was very impressed with it; the campaign is good, the multiplayer is extremely fun and takes skill, the different modes like operations are really fun and you can play them for tons of hours, the guns and other mechanincs feel great and are balanced, the maps have good variety and have that WW1 horror vibe with various effects like fog and awesome explosions, the music was a very big surprise as it is apparent and epic that I didn't think I would notice as much as I did in a FPS. I like BF4 better
Don't get me wrong, the game is incredible! However, the 100 year old weapons just don't stand up to the modern guns and optics I'm accustomed to after playing BF2, Bad Company, and up to BF4.
