The chrome rack makes the bike look better and easy to tye down items.
After putting a large piece of painters masking tape in the area where it mounts, then finding center and holding it in place while marking around the rubber feet without moving it was the most difficult part of the install. Show Chrome Trunk Mount Rack for Can-Am Spyder RT
I like the looks of the Rivco rack better, but it's twice the money. This one blocks the Show Chrome trunk light if you have something put on it. The angle of the buttons that rack goes into is difficult to determine from the instructions, so its easier just to visualize how to set them. The higher side of the lobes go on the lower side to level them of course. Some definite positives: Mounting hardware is pretty decent and the chrome looks pretty high quality. Rack itself if lightweight, but sturdy. Essentially every angle could be a mounting point for a bungee, which is nice. With four mount points, its attached well to the bike. It is nice that it is as large as it is, because you can put a pretty good sized bag on it. As well, even though it covers the (add on) trunk light if you have it installed, which I do, the fact that the rack has the slant, the bag fits well, not straight up and down, so catches less wind and is more secure. Overall the rack looks pretty decent on the bike as well. Weight is only rated at 10 pounds, but it gives one more secure mounting space from nothing, which is also a plus.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice well made unit, but would not work on my RT as I have an aftermarket LED lite installed in trunk and its housing protrudes out whereas it contacts bottom of rack to not allow racks mounting feet to rest properly on trunk for proper fit.
