Lighting and Motion Sensor Work Well
I purchased two of these lights as supplementary lighting for garage and basement doors. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of the fixtures, the sensitivity of the motion sensor, and the LED lights provide just the right amount of light to add safety to steps and provide enough light for entry ways without blinding you. The only drawback is how the plastic silver housing attaches to the black disc on the bottom of the base. It does not secure tightly together, so it is not waterproof and it makes the housing feel flimsy. I unscrewed the disc from the bottom and applied a bead of silicone caulk around it to secure the two pieces together. After that dried, the entire unit feels much more stable and secure. I'm very happy with the performance of the light. I would definitely recommend it, but I suggest taking the extra step of sealing the base of the unit with silicone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Light partially filled with water.
After a few weeks of outdoor use, Light failed to work as battery and light compartments were partially filled with water. I then removed and tossed the batteries and tried to drain the LED compartment but was not able to. Battery compartment seal appeared to be in good shape. Very nice
It was bigger than I expected which is fine because it looks more like a camera with LED lights which is a great deterrent. The sensor works great at night and is very bright when it lights up for one minute before shutting back down when you walk away. This took 4 C batteries which confused me because I thought the one I bought took 4 AA batteries. None the less it works great. Mounting is simple. Nice, well designed light.....
All things considered, this is a very nice light at a reasonable price. The light beam is quite wide, covering a large area. The light seems to be well made, installation was quick and easy and with four "C" batteries, I'm hoping I won't have to change the batteries frequently. The light is quite adjustable, allowing the light to illuminate various areas by simply rotating the light and pointing it in different directions. I also like the option to "roll" the light into its casing, which occludes the sensor and keeps it from activating the light when you don't want it to. My only real caveat with this light is that the sensor is fixed. I have a few other motion sensor lights with swiveling sensors. This allows you to modify the sensor range/area a little more easily. Incredible lighting! Exceptional price tag!
Absolutely outstanding! Mounted one under the "overhang" on the garage. Use it to light up the deck area in back of the house in case of an intruder approaching (window break in). Has a good 30` range as well. This really illuminates it very well. Gonna buy a 2nd one to brighten it up even more.(had to see how good the 1st one worked). Very, very well $$ spent as a deterrent for intruders! Only very minor inconvenience is. If you want to turn it off when you are outside at night. There is no switch that can be operated manually.. Works great!
Had it for a few days and so far it works very well. Placed it about 8 feet up on the outside of the house, lens at a 45 degree down angle... detects motion from surprisingly far away, and the light is very bright with good coverage. Will have to check it periodically to make certain it really is weatherproof as advertised (while not in direct rain, it is still possible it may get wet in severe storms so will check the battery compartment monthly for awhile to make certain it stays dry).
