An excellent clay for beginners and experienced artists.
Love Das Clay. It is easy to work with and stores well. I have made many projects with air dry clay. One tip I can give is when your project is dry and you want to apply paint, first cover the dried clay with a good coat of Gesso. Strong and hardens like stone
The clay hardens fast and although it is gray in color (right out of packaging), it turns white after it hardens. It has a very strong smell, that seems toxic - but some people can tolerate it more than others. Because of this, I do not recommend for children. It is great for sculptures and kind of reminds me of the clay in my ceramics class years ago. If you want clay that folds over and blends in well (as your folding it multiple times), this may not be for you. There's a reason it's a sculpting standard!
This clay is great. It dries with zero cracking and is ROCK SOLID. I had been using sculpey air dry clay because it was more available to me, but they changed the formula and it is unusable now. So I decided to try DAS clay since it came highly recommended by those in the know- and they're right! I only wish I could find it for cheaper here in the US. Even so, the quality is worth the price point if you compare it to cheaper clays. If you need to sand it, you'll be in for a workout since it's so hard, but your sculpture will at least dry smooth and solid.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
