Bottom of tea pot had multiple scratches as if someone took a knife to attempt to remove caked on black spots. Tea pot was used a lot. Not sure I would have bought Tea Pot if I had seen all the scratches. I was able to get the black spots cleaned up on bottom of Pot.Verified purchase: Yes

Well over a decade ago, a flood in the CorningWare factory literally broke the mold for this classic teapot. CorningWare decided NOT to have a replacement mold made. I remember this teapot from my childhood. Simple and effective design. I broke mine and, really wanted the same design teapot.
