Hard fit
Arrived very fast. Comparatively my original magazine has a thin guide so that the magazine slides in easily. The new magazines are too wide at the top and only a small rear guide so it is a tight fit. I oiled the guide and had to tighten the top with pliers. I loaded them each with 10 rounds and the spring is tight and has to be trained. The bottom of the magazines slipped off when tapping them in. I'm just glad to find extra magazines for this ancient and noble rifle.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OK at best
It is all steel and well made but fits poorly and actually rubs on the bolt!After inserting it in the magwell I could feel the drag while cycling the bolt, not just a little drag but a lot! The bolt rubbed the paint off the right side of the mag, guess I'll do a bit of filing and see if that helps. I will not buy another of these mags nor do really recommend them save up a few more bucks and buy an original Enfield mag. If you can't get a OEM mag this would do in a pinch but will need fitting.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

ProMag product does not fit Lee-Enfield No1 Mk3 without substantial force
I would not recommend the ProMag for the No I, Mk III* because it doesn't fit without being forced. I feel I will have to do some modification (hammering) in order to make the shape more accurate, because it's a force-fit right now. It's close, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was originally intended for a No 4, or other similar milsurp. It's a do not buy for me. In addition to the above facts, the magazine spring snapped from normal use. My opinion of ProMag is not favorable after this.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value for a replacement Magazine
If you need a good replacement for your Enfield .303 that is not period correct, this is a great item. I am however worried about the sharp edges on the bottom that may snag clothing or cut and scratch skin.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
