Not that great
I suppose if you never toasted anything except sliced bread, it would fine, but I tried strudels, pop tarts, bagels and none of those worked worth a darn. The strudels and the pop tarts went down along elevator frame that lowers and raises up when finished, and the bagel was still cool on one side, and toasted on the other. When I first got it, the elevator was out of the groove on one end. I don't know anything about the keeping the toast warm, as I never tried that, but it sure is not anything to brag about. Arrived broken
The toaster arrived broken, it was not sufficiently packaged for shipping. After receiving a partial reimbursement of my payment, I have discovered the toaster will not shut off, even on the lowest setting (at first, I thought I needed to adjust the darkness setting). It does toast evenly, which is what I was looking for in a new toaster. I would purchase this toaster again, but from somewhere I could return it easily. Heats evenly, stays cool.
Heats evenly and consistently. The 1 - 7 settings are timer based. The range is approx. 1:30secs to 3:30 secs. One thing to note: if the toaster is already hot, each setting is reduced by about 15 secs. I don't mind the beeps - 3 beeps when done, the 1 beep approx each of 3 minutes in 'keep warm' mode, ending with a final 3 beeps before the toast pops up. Easy clean with slide out crumb tray.
