pot puller
Have only used this once so far, but I'm impressed. It is light weight and compact so it's easy to handle. Seems to have plenty of power. Worst thing about it is the manual - or I should say lack of a decent one. The on/off switch, although red and easily identified is not marked and on/off position is not represented on the device or on any instructions that I could find on line or anywhere else. Also the mounting system is very confusing. there is a removable block that is supposed to provide a swivel feature to pull the arm up while installed. I can't figure out how that works. When installed, you can't do that operation. At least I can't figure out how to. There should be compatible adapters for other Scotty products. I have downriggers on the boat but I had to fabricate an adaptor to mount the pot puller on the Scotty downrigger becuase I could not find any sort of adapters on the web site.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Pulls pots fine but has some design flaws.
Very disappointed in Scotty for the poorly designed mount, it's horribly wobbly, doesn't tilt and doesn't swivel so you need to remove to launch or dock to prevent getting it ripped off on the dock. Scotty is way better than this mount and should be embarrassed by it. Also I use muletape for ropes and it can slip under the windlass and get wrapped up, also poor design.
