Works great, waterproof, rechargable.
Bought the 1st one at Walmart for $129. plus Tax. Left the charger at the lake & we were not going back soon so I looked on ebay & found one for 1/3 of the cost. We really needed a 2nd one anyway it takes 12 hours to recharge. You could do that over night, because you not supposed to have it on the dog over something like 12 hours. Quality, easy to use, well thought out.
Every training instruction in the manual, included, is designed for minimal use of the correction features of this product. Simple buttons with a firm, positive action, feel, ( you know you pushed it) but most importantly, well placed! The two correction buttons for sound and stimulation, and the stimulation level setting dial, that has positive stops on all settings 1-8, are on the front. The positive reinforcement tone is on the side to avoid confusion, and make it easy to learn and use them. They recommend you use it on yourself, to know what your pet will receive, I could feel level 1... more on 2... 3 was as high as I wanted to feel, and my dog, a 70 pound Pit Bull/Yellow Lab cross agreed. I am so pleased with a manufacturer that seems to really care about the quality, usability, and safety (for the pet) of the product they make. This is great for containing your dog and not having him on a lead all the time. My dog, fortunately caught right on to the meaning of the warning beep, he knows what is coming next! I was totally against the whole idea at first, but if you follow the directions you will see that it is a humane training device. Poor battery life
