Noisy plug
The newer style factory Remington shot gun plugs slide back and forth in the magazine tube making a annoying noise. I took it out of my gun, then bought the old style from eBay that has the step up diameter on one end. OEM magazine block for Remington shotguns.
I mean, it wasn't necessary to purchase this thing. I only did because my 11-87 Premier, which I bought pre-owned, didn't come with a magazine block for hunting and I didn't wanna put a wooden dowel in such a beautiful scattergun. Pretty Simple and Works
Can't get much easier in concept, just a plug to limit shells in the tube magazine for a Remington 870. Perhaps lighter than the old wood plugs and doesn't absorb moisture. Current factory part
This is the current factory replacement plug. It is not the original style plug that came with the Remington 870, 1100 or the 1187. I was hoping for the original style as pictured, with the ring around the top. This current factory version is just a straight plastic rod, with no ring around the top for the spring to capture it in place.
