Great detail and animation.
Since A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite Christmas stories, I decided this year to start a collection of the buildings. So as I started research on which of the available producers I would pick, of course Department 56 came up. While the other collections were lower cost, they also were not of the same detail and quality of Department 56. Since I hope this collection will not only provide my family with enjoyment, I also hope to leave it as a heritage collection when I'm gone. That being said, I am very impressed with the detail and quality of the Scrooge House. And how clever of them to have the spirits and Scrooge dancing in the window. A lot of thought went into the design, and it reminds me of the many stage sets I've experienced at theaters seeing plays. I also see how this will be a treasured collection that I will pass on to my family. It is of such a high quality and I believe a lasting value. I only hope that more pieces will be added to this collection and I will of course add Fezziwig's warehouse if Santa doesn't bring it in his sleigh this year for me. Love my newest addition, Ebeneezer Scrooge house. I have collected these houses for a number of years. My only "complaint" is that the color of the light inside the house is drastically different from the other houses. It is LED lit, so it is a bright white with a bluish cast.
