  • Excellent stuff!

I took a 12mm wide, 50cm long, 4mm thick, 152 gram sterling necklace, a large, thick chain, and turned it near completely black. Before getting this Liver of Sulfur I had tried to darken the necklace using eggs, raw sulfur mixed with NaOH, and electrical current. While the other methods work, the Liver of Sulfur gel was able to get my chain much, much darker, a very deep gun-metal color. I get many compliments on the chain due to its coloring. If you need to apply a patina to sterling or fine silver, this stuff is a must have! As a note, the patina does not wear off. You can polish it away of course, but normal daily wearing does not make it fade.

  • Liver of sulfur gel

Just one drop of gel in an oz of hot water is great for small silver pieces. The patina on silver is really rich, deep and nice. I think the product is economical because you only need to mix up the amount you need. If you are working on large pieces or sculpture it may be the wrong product. If you have a dozen earrings, it's really convenient and effective.

  • Fast and easy

This is pretty easy to use. If you just want a little bit, mix a couple drops in a couple tablespoons of warm water. The stronger the solution the faster and darker your metal becomes so be careful.

  • great product!!

this is a great product, it works very fast and turned my copper fitting as black as coal! the instructions provided are clear and to the point, and they work well, packaging is also good the bottle doesn't leak, the smell is very strong but not harmful, but the smell does not stay with the item.

  • Easy way to restore inlay on jewlery.

Really easy to use and satisfied with the end results. refurished 5 rings in about 10 minutes. Of course buffing took longer. Real pleased.

  • Does the job well

This stuff is fast acting and easy to use. I used it on Sterling silver and it left a nice black patina. I’m very pleased with the results.

  • It works the FIRST time!

This worked the first try, unlike that patina garbage I bought at Joanne's. A little goes a long way and everything came out charcoal to black depending how long you left it in. Save your money and go with this stuff. You won't be disappointed.

  • Works like a charm

This product works like a charm. My first results were very dark lever backs. I will play around to adjust darkness. Great for repair of vintage jewelry with rich patina.

  • Awesome product for antiquing different types of metal jewelry!

I use this product for antiquing coin rings, and it does an excellent job of highlighting the detail on the ring!

  • Use your imagination

This project was a bit of a challenge as the items to be antiqued were large door panels. Rather than dip the item I made up a larger batch and poured it over the panels. It worked great.
