Buy this kit.
I first used my friend's Smith knife sharpener and I had to have one. I'm not skilled enough to sharpen with a stone by hand and I didn't want to mess up my expensive knives. Great sharpener. Used one Identical to this one for 20+ years through thousands of knives. Only ended up replacing due to puppy that decided I was going to turn the old one into a chew toy.
