Good Filter, Low Cost
This is the input filter for the Respironics Everflo and Everflo Q. It's easy to install, and it's cheap enough to change frequently. If you own your own Everflo oxygen concentrator, I think it's smart to change this filter more often than required. First, it can't hurt anything and Second, because it ensures you don't overwork (wear out) your concentrator. I suspect this will extend the life of your unit. I have seen medical equipment providers change this filter annually. I suggest six months instead if you own yours. By a year, it's really a mess in the filter compartment (depends on how dusty your environment is) . You should turn the unit off to change the filter. Open the little snap tight door to find the old filter. I think you should vacuum the area, or clean it thoroughly somehow, before replacing the filter. Then when you pull the old one out, you won't drop excessive dust into the unit's air path. One of the beauties of these particular concentrators is the easy filter change.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Will not purchase this item again
I realize most people would not buy one open it and look at how it was constructed. I am not one of those people. This is a filter for an oxygen concentrator and should be of good quality. It is not, the top was glued on so the end user can examine it. The one I am replacing did not have the top glued on. This raised a question about what they did not want me to see. Great product!
This filter does what it's supposed to do. I didn't know my concentrator had one of these until I got curious and looked behind the vent. My DME had told me they would service my machine every six months so not to touch anything but it's been two years and they've never been back. I found the filter that was in it and it was filthy so after some research I ordered and replaced the old one with this. Maybe it's all in my head but I swear I feel better and have more energy since I replaced the absolutely filthy one that was in there.
