With a little change, works well!
Overall, excellent design and strength material, good finish, though fit was a little challenge. For some reason, the 10-24 ( thread size/ pitch) Allen screw that came with this sling mount was way too short to give full connection strength, in fact it barely made a connection!!! So replaced it with a 10-24 thread x 1-1/4" length Allen cap. That worked perfectly. Had to slightly loosen the magazine tube to make it work, but have read this is normal. use Blue loctite or equivalent to keep it threaded securely. Very well designed in all other respects! It is the perfect complement to Magpul's sling offerings. Able to use the sling now to improve aiming stability.

Great part, you will now need an sae hex key to be able to field strip your shotgun.
Very well made, does it's job, and looks the part. Unfortunately, you will now need an SAE hex key to field strip your mossberg 500, who's going to be able to have that and not lose it? Honestly, except for this, it's great.

Another great Nagpur product. Easy installation. That being said I did have to slim both sides for it to work on my mossberg 500. I just needed a hair more room for it to work correctly. My forearm would not slide up all the way. It was just the it was. Sometimes you gotta modify your gear. Its part of it.

It might seem expensive for a little part, but it's definitely worth the $$$
I bought this for my Mossberg Maverick 20" Security. The fit and hold are perfect! This mount isn't going to slip, slide, or break no matter what abuse it might see. I like the loop it comes with, and the option to use quick release mounts. It might seem expensive for a little part, but it's definitely worth it...it looks good too!

Excellent Magpul Quality
1st : the sling mount has excellent fit & finish. The screw could be a tad longer, but Magpul has chosen not to correct this. 2nd : Its not cheap to develop & machine an item like this. That said, I think either Magpul or their vendors have this slightly overpriced. The Magpul sling mount is excellent quality & I would recommend it to anyone concidering using it. I purchased mine for use mainly as an extra extended magazine clamp that would fit under my front sight.

Magpul sling mount
I really like this mount, it was made to fit perfect on the barrel and tube magazine. Since I bought it for Maverick 88, it fit perfect on my Mossberg 500 and the Mossberg 590. It also fir my Remington 870.on one side you and use it with the paraclip style and the orther side you can use the quick detach sling swivel.

This is a simple and easy install. Strong and sturdy product. Be sure and install the rubber buffers so as not to mar your barrel or magazine tube. Installed on a 1975 Mossberg 500 and it functional and aesthetically pleasing. Great design MagPul.
