Best case yet
The OtterBox Defender offers great protection and durability. The swivel belt clip is very versatile, full 360 deg, locks into stand mode easily. The only downside is that it makes the phone a little bulky Other hybrid cases I've had protected the phone broke easily when dropped, or belt clips came apart easily when the case got snagged on a seat belt while getting out of the car. .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Didnt live up to claims
I purchased this Otter Box for my husband within 3 days of recieving and using it the phone fell off his hip and out of the belt case hit the ground less that 3 feet and shattered his screen! Top notch.
Great quality. Dropped my Moto X on numerous occasions and its always survived with this otter box defender. One small complaint is the headphone jack doesn't line up with the hole in the case. Not meant to last years but will do for a little over 1year. I does provide enough protection but tends to fail at the micro usb cover on the bottom after time because of repeated opening and closing. I find that the belt clip the case snaps into does not offer sufficient protection from your phone falling out of it. I actually purchased a belt clip (nite ize) that my phone slides down into and velcros shut after I found my phone lying face down in a puddle of water when I jumped down two feet from a step onto the ground.
