Great Idea!
I was trying to find a small bottle to store weapons oil in my magpul buttstock. I ordered several types and finally found one small enough....however, it wouldn't seal and the oil leaked. Then I discovered the magpul grip bottle and my dilemma was solved. it has not leaked and fits securely in the grip like a number of other Magpul grip storage accessories. Good idea but.
I have many magpul products,and they are first rate. However this is lacking , the locking catch does NOT lock in like it should, a slight tug on this and it falls out. Magpul makes great products. This is designed to fit many of their grips. Since semi auto rifles require lubrication even between cleanings, having a small bottle of lube in the field is critical. Essentially every time I've been at the range someone seems to have function problems with a pistol or rifle, and I pull this out and put a couple of drops on the super dry components they should have oiled. This is also available in a kit with the MIAD grip with different sized front and back straps. Good but little issues
Bottle itself is pretty good. Air tight so oil doesn’t leak out. Upon arrival it did not fit in my MOE+ grip. I had to file down 2 areas. One area I had to file was the long plastic insert that goes in the guide to the grip. It was 1/15th to long. After that I saw that the locking clip was set kinda like a triangle instead of a right triangle. I had to file down that 45 degree into a 90 degree in order for it to lock into place. After that the product works great! I hope this helps anyone looking to get this. Having oil with your rifle is pretty convenient
