Weak squeak
This is a cool looking toy, but the design is poor. The corrugated plastic hammer heads are so stiff that they do not compress easily. If the plastic was softer and more flexible, it would make a much better sound. As it is, the thwack of the hammer impact is louder than the squeak.

Not much squeak
The air has to pads through a small hole, only a vague squeak can be sort of heard if you bash the hammer just right in the proper direction. It's nicely made, not flimsy. Just not much at all of a squeak.

Great Hammer
it's fun and my kids loves the squeek feature but I love that the whistle can be removed and then it's silent. It just pops in and out so sometimes the kids get noise and sometimes mom gets peace and quiet. Great little toy.
