It's OK
This canteen cup is "G.I. style", not genuine government issue. Very lightweight. The cup butterfly handles are much shorter than the G.I. ones. Because of the short butterfly handles, I recommend using the cup with a stove; not over a campfire. It does fit the 1 Qt USGI kidney-shaped canteens and will fit inside a USGI 1 Qt canteen pouch. It is functional. The cup is better than I expected, but not by much. It works and it's affordable but if you're looking for a genuine, USGI 1 Qt canteen cup, this isn't it. That being said, this cup will meet much of your outdoor/camping needs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Blast from the past canteen cup.
I like the handle on this model canteen cup better than the newer butterfly wing handles. The cup itself does not nest the modern plastic canteen well, as it was made for the older version aluminum canteen. I am very happy to have ordered two of these cups.
