Don't expect round donuts, hard to clean
I bought this for the donut making aspect, and haven't used it for any kind of thin batter, but for donuts, don't expect perfectly shaped donuts. I practiced. A lot. I ended up with a lot of malformed and uneven donuts. Yes, my oil was at the right temperature, and I tried from various heights from the oil, from 1/8" up to an inch. I tired thinner and thicker batter. The results were always unsatisfactory. The item isn't dishwasher safe and is hand wash only. This is extremely difficult unless you have a bottle brush handy to get all of the surfaces inside the cavity clean. I don't hold the seller responsible for this, but will think twice before buying another Norpro product based on this experience.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
