Best value for a miter saw stand
This is one of the best 'tool buys' I have made. The stand is very well engineered and executed in good quality materials and workmanship. The stand is about 98% assembled out of the box so final assembly is a snap. I bought this stand for my Harbor Freight 12" double bevel slider. The sliding mounting bars should first be bolted to the saw and then the assembly will snap onto the top mounting bars. I am only 5' 6" and 68 yrs old, so was concerned about all the weight that would be at my command but because of the great design, once the saw was on the stand I never had to lift or hold more than a few pounds! Going from the working position to the storage or hand-truck position and back again required very little exertion and always feels stable and completely controllable. Compact and great features.
Seems well built. Came dented with box tore which is no dig on the product. Took a bit to get it back straight so I could put it together so not cheaply made. Went together easily accept for the dented tube opening. I have a 12 inch Dewalt comp/miter and bolted on the clamps fine. Doesn't slide when placed in truck position. Thought it might be heavy to put up or down with saw attached but works quite nicely. Just had it set up and used to cut one board so haven't put it through its paces yet. So far I really like it. Just What I Needed
I needed a portable stand for my miter saw that was not space consuming. I had been using a B&D workmate bench that I had put on casters. Each time I used the saw the whole thing would move because the casters weren't locking. Also it took a lot of space in a small shop. The Delta Heavy duty stand just filled the bill for my need. It certainly is heavy duty and easily opened up and collapsed for storage. I did have to put a plywood table on the stand because my saw would not fit on the mounting bars but that was no problem. I've been wanting one of these since my brother and father got ones of their own. It's great to be able to leave the saw attached and move it around so easily...like a hand cart/dolly. To put together it works great! Very heavy duty can use to move the surround at the same time. There is a learning curve to get used to how the activate the lever to disengage the locking mechanism to put to stand up. This is the best portable saw stand you will find!
You go from dolly mode to ready for cutting in seconds, life is good. Waited to get this and should have bought it sooner. Great stand
2nd one I bought have a haunt so drag this thing all over . Bought a 2nd bc I like the 1st one so we’ll have a Milwaukee 18v on one works amazing bc saw is very light.
