GT-500 Banjitar: Familiar Frets with a Fresh Hybrid Sound! The GT-500 Acoustic-electric Resonator Banjitar from Gold Tone pairs banjo twang with the familiar feel of a guitar so that 6-string players can scratch the banjo itch with no learning curve whatsoever! The GT-500 Banjitar is tuned like a guitar. Complete with 21 frets and a slick rosewood fingerboard, its range surpasses the average banjo, but players will find authentic banjo components at every turn. A maple neck, rim, and resonator fuel loud, bright, and clear tonal character shaped to perfection by a Remo head, a bone nut, and a steel alloy tone ring. The onboard SMP pickup lets players quickly plug into amplification and interfaces, which makes the GT-500 more than suitable for gig work and recording.
Excellent quality. It came with the frosted head, not the clear as advertised. This makes it a little more difficult to play without rubbing noise when playing but It can still work if you anchore at the wrist not at the two smaller fingers on the drum.
I have written to the store twice to get the correct head size without taking it all apart as heads come in 1/16 sizes and 3 depths. They have tried to get me one from Remo but so far have not given me the size to order.
I love the instrument and have played it at two different performances along with my 5 string. Just know it does not have a clear head. no effect on quality, just the way you play it.
When you are plugging in the input dangles and I noticed this when I plugged in the cable for the very first time ,otherwise it is not possible to twist it. I hope I need to put some glue to fix it 😀
In general the banjo sounds professional and good
Thank you
