I have a older sears opener without the learn button on the back of the motor it is on the outside receiver under cover . This product seems to be better quality than the original remote that came with the garage opener. It took me about 3 seconds to program the code and it works very well with my garage door. The only thing I had to do was going to the garage door opener, push the purple button on the opener itself, and when the led light started to blink I pressed the big button for a few seconds until it memorized the code. After that, I was able to open and close the door without a problem. I was so satisfied with the purchase, the overall quality of the product and the price I paid, that I ordered another one. I received 3 of these openers, and was concerned that I might not be able to get all of them to work. I followed the instructions, pushed the purple button on the garage door opener, and pushed the button on the remote.
