The best bike chains ever.
KMC X type chains are exactly what I want. These chains are tapered on the sides to allow perfect operation with any HG style freewheel & cassette sprockets. They're non-directional. Inferior product, I do not recommend.
This chain lasted less than 1 month on my commuter bike. I ride less than 5 miles a day to and from the bus various bus stops, work, shopping and home. During this short time it has twisted itself into a spiral. It was replacing a chain that had lasted for more than 3 years of almost daily usage and had just started to measurably stretch. This chain is obviously made of inferior material and would not recommend it to any one. Steer well clear of this product. Excellent Chain for Bikes that have 5,6,7,8 Freewheel or Cassette Cogs.
KMC X8.99 Chain is an Excellent Chain for bikes which do Not require a 10 or 11 Speed Chain or a 1/8 inch chain ( some Fixed / Single Speed bikes ). Fabulous Replacement for Stock Chain
The chain on my new Dahon Mariner 7 had some sort of aluminum-like coating that quckly became unsightly as it began wearing away. Buy this chain if you don't want it to rust and don't have to shorten it.
This is a great chain, it is somewhat Rush resistant I use White Lightning paraffin base lubricant on it. The downside is the rivets are installed as though she cannot shorten it. That's the only downfall. Very quiet and smooth running.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
