A great first NAS for a media server.
It delivers what the reviews from PC Magazine said. This is my first NAS for a media server. I populated it with 4 6tb drives to start. The app marketplace that Asustor offers seems decent but i have yet to truly test remote access capabilities when I'm traveling to see how good remote playback is and how secure things stay when using PLEX for media playback. As for photo library organization, the app Photo Gallery 3 is rather simple and unimpressive. So far, no problems but I am curious how Synology and QNAP would have been. Maybe next time.
