The Story is the same, God Is Still The Answer For All Our Woes!
So far, I have only read part of the Book of Genesis. It is easier to read than the regular King James Version as it uses language which we are more familiar with. This is the fifth Version of the Bible which I have read. It is not as "prosy" as some of the others I have read and is more like the King James Version which I have read twice. It consolidates Bible stories from all the different accounts. Eg. several books in the O.T. refer to Moses; what he did, what it meant to God and to the people of Israel. The Bible even relates Psalms David wrote to what was happening to him then. It makes so much more sense to us now. I am enjoying the way it is formatted with the chronology making more sense. The NIV version is easy to understand. I also like how it is broken down into a section per day.
