Excellent Read
I read this book many years ago and enjoyed it so much that I knew that I would be reading it again, but have moved several times since then, my copy was misplaced and finally disappeared all together. I have now obtained a used copy of this excellent book and am again captivated by this depiction of a thoroughly modern woman in a prehistoric world. The descriptions of the characters is completely believable and compelling. Descriptive passages of people of the stone age world and their environment are vivid. Much of the story takes place in Ayla's mind as her emerging evolutionary intellect enables her to cope with the perils and challenges of a very dangerous and violent young Earth.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
