Dark, dark series
This is a very dark series. It shows espionage at it's core of lying, cheating, killing, and destroying people's lives, even their kids. There are no winners, only losers. I didn't finish the series because I couldn't stand the explicit sex scenes and the killing and using of innocent people on both sides. They are disgusting people and they just keep getting worse and worse while all the while thinking they are doing it "for the glory and honor of their own countries." The sets are realistic, acting is superb, and the general plot lines intriguing, although as with most series, they occasionally stray outside the boundaries of credible realism.
