Gimmicks, Pipedreams, and Cheap Tricks
This book is made up of gimmicks, clichés, claptrap, pipedreams, and cheap tricks, a dully written knock-off magical realist rendition of Sherwood Anderson's "Winesburg, Ohio." The only reason to continue reading it, other than that it was a selection of my Book Club, was to find out what happened at the end.
