New Godzilla Movie
When the movie started I was a little at sea until I realized they were remaking and modernizing the 1954 Classic. Being a fan from the very early days when Million Dollar Movie ran the same movie repeatedly from 9:00 a.m. until the final showing at 9:00 p.m., I guess I can safely say I know the movie as well as anyone. I sat there through every showing. I own all the movies and watch them several times a year. We really love that big Lizard. Some of the Godzilla movies had Godzilla as a lovable parent or even as a hero fighting off out of space invaders. This Godzilla is scary. No more man in the rubber suit. This was high tech and brilliant. When you know the genre like I do and the same old story holds you transfixed with horror and repugnance equally. His mutating transformations were awful.... rubbernecking a bad accident awful. I liked it. I am going to watch it again to today to see the nuances I missed. This is an incredible reboot of Godzilla. The fear of Tokyo facing an atomic monster or a nuclear bomb is captivating!! The use of fire breath by Godzilla is by far the most destructive force. It destroys entire downtowns. I was completely taken with the special effects even though the first Godzilla was kinda goofy - then it stood up! A evolutionary leap that brings on the new improved version with extra powers that wreaks havoc through the city. Dont buy library movies .
Movie was good until the last 15 minutes .something was wrong with the disc.movie didn't play all the way through.
