Experience Inc.'s dungeon-crawling role-playing game returns with a new protagonist and new battle mechanics in Demon Gaze II. Players take control of the man-made Demon Gazer Signa, who has the power to command demons, as he and his friends in the Revolutionist Party try to overthrow the charismatic ruler Sirius Magnastar, who seems to have entranced the entire island of Asteria. Gamers form a party from 16 demons and then head into trap-filled dungeons, where they enter the Demon Realm for first-person exploration, puzzle solving, and turn-based monster battles.<br><br>Players enter the Demon Realm by offering gems or demons to Demon Circles, and the type of enemies they encounter or equipment they receive is based on which gems or demons they offer. As characters fight they build up their Star Gauge, and when it's full the demons can undergo Magic, Power, or Skill Demonize transformations to increase their stats and unleash special attacks. Signa can also fuse with a Demonized demon to perform the Demon Cross, which lets gamers continue attacking until the Star Gauge is depleted. When not in combat, players can strengthen their bonds with demons by performing Maintenance on them and by going on dates around Asteria.
