Very handy for splitting wood for kindling.
This did do a great job of splitting wood and I highly recommend it, especially for those who are a bit challenged when it comes to doing so. We have a wood burning stove we use to supplement our electric forced air in the winter so this fit the bill. I would recommend you sharpen the blade as it comes to you on the dull side. Also the size of wood needs to be on the small size given the receptacle is size specific. Once that blade it sharpened it doesn't take much effort to complete the task.

This is possibly the worst thing I have ever purchased.
The top rig is plastic and broke the second day. The base does not attach to the vertical tubes they simply sit in a hole. The blade is crazy dull. Don’t waste your money and buy a better one for a bit more money.
