Very light gauge steel, poorly finished and poor fitting parts. The mill plate axel that extended below the mill blade was so short it would not engage with the guide holes in the mill plates and two of the guide holes were punched way off center of two of the plates to begin with. Ended up paying the extra to get an OXO 2 quart mill with three different sized pore milling plates.
