Experience a smooth ride with these sleek O'Briens Watersports Reactor Water Skis. O'Brien's most traditional pair of skis, the Reactors are a bit narrower overall, making them more maneuverable and responsive on the water.
This is the second pair of skis I have bought in my lifetime. I didn't start skiing until I was 34 for many reasons, slalom at 40. I am 69 now. I have bought two slalom skis in that time, both with double boot type bindings, not because I am that good but find you have better control and are more secure rather than having an open toe for your controlling foot. I only went to these double skis because of my age and my right foot has started swelling from arthritis to the point I can't get my foot into the rear binding without lots of soap. There is ample adjustment with these bindings.
The boot type bindings these skis come with work very well for me and my wife, she is also 69, although even though they are supposed to fit a size 7 women's, they are a little loose. Told her to try some type of synthetic sock for a filler next year. I like this boot type binding much better than the slide type, much tighter for me, I wear a size 81/2. The finish of the skis has some specks in it, but I don't think will have an affect on longevity. I had some trouble getting up, maybe because the ski is about 3/4 inch wider than my slalom ski, but once I figured that out, I had no problems. Looking forward to next year........if I can still get up when I'm 70
