    Best Drip Coffee Maker

I don't usually like the results of drip coffee--I use a Senseo pod one cup maker. But read good things about this product and decided to try it by getting a used one. It is really the best drip coffee I've had and I honestly don't know why. It's very simple, no programming, just an on/off button. It brews in 6 minutes into the thermal pot and it tastes so good I may stop using the Senseo (which is hard to find pods for it). The thermal pot keeps it hot & fresh without cooking it like most drop coffee makers. Glad I tried it. It's excellent.

    Good coffee, poor thermos

I like the simplicity of this coffee machine. It has one button and makes a good cup of coffee. It has just a few parts that are all easy to clean in the dishwasher. My main grief is with the thermos can itself: without the lit's impossible to pour water in the machine or the coffee in your cup and not spill. It's an inconvenient extra step to put the lid on for pouring water in the machine. Probably would have bought another coffee machine knowing this main inconvenience.

  • Bonavita BV1900TS

Everything is fantastic, except for one minor flaw. You cannot totally empty the carafe with the screw-on lid in place, a few ounces remain in the carafe. Even after the lid is removed, it is very hard to completely empty the carafe without making a mess. Other than that issue, I love the brewer and I would still recommend it as a fantastic coffee brewer. Yes, I would buy it again.

  • Makes great coffee!

The best thing about this coffee maker is that it makes a great cup of coffee which in my way of thinking is the reason you have a coffee maker. It has an insulated metal carafe so I can't easily break it and it will keep your coffee hot a while without it burning because there is no heater. It is so very simple there is not even a clock on it! You just put your coffee and water in it and turn it on. Very quickly you have hot tasty brew. If I had to mention negatives it is 1) that there is no shut off allowing you to pour before it is finished brewing but that just isn't enough of an issue to offset everything else at least for me. 2) Other people may also not like the fact that you can't set a timer to have your coffee waiting for you but I LOVE the simplicity of the machine. Glad I purchased it and recommend it to anyone who is particular about their coffee and are not put off by the above 2 mentioned issues.

  • This is a good machine but the carafe spills water all over when filling the reservoir as it does not pour very well without the cover on

This is a good machine but the carafe spills water all over when filling the reservoir as it does not pour very well without the cover on and sometimes drips with the cover on no matter how tight you put it on. The carafe is also a lot bigger than the reservoir so it feels you are not filling the pot. I would recommend this coffee pot and is the 2nd one I purchased but the prior model did not have these issues. The leaking of the carafe is the only real problem that I don't like about the coffee maker. It does make a pot of coffee in 6 min every time I've timed it.

  • Very Good Coffee Maker

Brews excellent coffee very quickly. A bit weird having to remove the brew basket and attach the pooring lid, but you get used to doing that. Overall a very good coffee maker.

  • Purchase after thought; stops brewing in the middle of making coffee; have to restart.

Although this unit makes a great cup of coffee, as an older adult i wanted to get away from the glass carafe and broken glass; seem to go through glass carafes periodically when cleaning. With that said, the new brewer makes a great cup of coffee but the carafe doesn't hold the heat very long; you end up re-heating in the microwave if side tracked. I even heat the carafe prior to starting the brewer to hold the heat longer; you are good for about a 1/2 hour with an 8 cup pot; 6 cups = 2 mugs for me. The other item is cleaning the pot; should have a wider mouth; have to use a stick sponge to get inside the pot. Oh, and they stay not to immerse the pot in water. Why not make a carafe that is immersible to clean and add a hot plate to keep carafe hot and a auto shut off for the plate? That's my story and i'm sticking to it.

  • Great while it lasts

This coffee pot looks nice on my counter and made really great tasting coffee. I love the durability of the stainless carafe. Unfortunately, after using it daily for two years, the heating element seems to have quit working.

  • Perfect except for one huge design flaw

Makes really great coffee and fairly quickly. The oddest thing is that normally you would fill the reservoir by filling the pot with water and pouring it into the reservoir. Except the reservoir doesn't hold a fill pot of water. So It takes a few tries to fill the reservoir properly and then you can't brew a full pot because it doesn't hold a full pot worth of water.

  • Good Product - Best Coffee - Just a small improvement to shipping would help

The Bonavita is a great machine - this is my third one for all of my locations. I would have given it 5 stars but the product came with the top dislocated because of less than adequate packaging. Fortunately I know the product well and I was to re-esemble the top of the coffee machine and it functioned fine.
