Fantastic movie and waiting for the second part to come out, I hope!
I watched this movie when it first came out to the movie theater, and it was a great one. Fast forward to today, I watched it again with my own home theater system and appreciated even more. Alita - Battle Angel is an amazing sci-fi action film! The creators have fully fleshed-out the original Japanese Anime from 1993: Battle Angel. ... If you are a fan of the original Anime, you will be thrilled with the environment, the story, the characters and even the look, the casting of the characters... all carefully crafted to please the many hard-core fanatic admirers of the original Anime. The story is enhanced and embellished with additional story-line depth while remaining true to the original story. Many of the pivotal scenes in the original Anime are faithfully reproduced (only better!) in this movie. So fun to watch... I was dreading that let-down feeling that a lesser movie would have been as a remake of the Anime. ... but I am thrilled with this new film! If you saw this movie first... and then watched two 25-minute Anime episodes of Battle Angel, you would think the anime was a pretty faithful rendering of that Alita movie... but more simplistic and some of the "neat stuff" would be missing. Video And Audio Slightly Sub-par For A 4K Burn
For 4K, I use The Martian as a reference. With that in mind, the Video on this disc is a 4 out of 5 and the Audio is also a 4 out of 5. The contrast and color saturation is off perhaps because of the animation.
