This is the largest flat-screen computer monitor I could find, right now. I don't want one of those curvy monitors. I'm an artist; people will see my art flat against walls. I had a 43" LG that was great for several years, but when I upgraded to a new, heavy-duty laptop computer (MSI i9 Gen 13), the resolution on the laptop screen was just too much better than what the LG monitor could show, so I bought this Samsung monitor, and now my two screens are much closer to giving equivalent views of my art. The Samsung has some fancy stuff, like its own Internet connection, which I don't really need, right now, but it's nice to know it's there in case I figure out a use for it. For my purposes right now, though, this Samsung lives up to the well-known Samsung quality. Also, one more thing I like about this monitor is that all of the connection ports on on the back and easy to reach, unlike way too many modern TVs and monitors that put connections in the most inaccessible places their engineers can think of.
After i wrangled the cable/dock combo needed to take advantage of 4k144hz HDR, this is an incredible monitor that replaces 3 monitors for me. It ticks all the boxes for sharpness, responsiveness, and brightness. And after work i can sit back for some games with the smoothness i've come to expect.
