Does exactly what I was hoping it would.
Looks and fits great. Now my thigh does not get hot from the heat of the stock pipes. The only modification I had to do was space my right floorboard out using a thick washer. It also seems to have improved the sound.

Great header system. Way better than stock.
Do I like these pipes? Yeah, howdy. This is the way to go when your original header pipes fail or you want a better system than the factory exhaust.. This is a true crossover exhaust header pipe system. You get all the advantages of the crossover that is placed properly in the system unlike the original exhaust crossover. This is the same exhaust that the new touring bikes use Both sides now have equal pressure unlike the factory exhaust. Six months ago I put in an S&S 510 can. Now this engine really performs with a better exhaust and a great cam. If you do most of your own work on your bike you can put these pipes on.

Install Was Not A Walk In The Park
Since I couldn’t find an original rear header pipe for my 2007 FLHTCU, I began to shop the aftermarket and found this S&S pipe. You tube videos got it apart and the tricky gaskets installed. But when it came time to install the pipe, yes the front one went in perfectly but the rear was a real bear and trying not to damage that gasket. A couple of blocks of wood and a well padded wrecking bar worked to leverage it in. The “stealership” warned me they might have to flash the ECM to get her to run right. Popped right off and sounded fine. Took it for a spin and it’s running better than ever.

Awesome head pipes
Fit very tight and sound great, not the easiest to put on but not horrible either, they look great but it does make getting the dip stick out of your transmission harder. I was impressed by the quality of the heat shields they are thicker and made well, you get what you pay for and this was money well spent

A little tweaking required.
It took a tweaking to get a proper fit , but once done the appearance is good. Used my existing Python mufflers. The bike now has a much deeper tone, which I like.

Look and sound nice.
I haven’t tuned the bike yet as it is winter but I have installed them and the mufflers. They look and sound great. A little tuff getting the head pipe on but YouTube can be your friend with that. So far I like them, we’ll see how they tune this spring.
