SynopsisExcerpt from Old Indian Chronicle: Being a Collection of Exceeding Rare Tracts, Written and Published in the Time of King Philip's War The principal Part of the present Volume was published in 1836, under the Title of The Old Indian Chronicle, in a small 18mo, and contained five Tracts; then supposed to be all, or nearly all extant. Several Years elapsed before any others were heard of, excepting the Fragment of one in the Harleian Miscellany. Those entitled The Present State of New-England, &c., and A Continuation of the State of New-England, came into my Possession previous to 1833. These I printed in that Year, as just mentioned, and put the Work on Sale, but there was no Demand for it, and it lay some three Years on Hand, excepting what were gratuitously distributed.
