Good but not great
These are a good replacement, especially if you're looking for a clear turn signal section. They are not great, however. Pros: 1. Brand new without 20 years of fade 2. Clear turn signal Cons: 1. Wire connector doesn't match factory harness, so I pulled my harness out of the original lights and threw out the harness on the new lights. 2. No nuts on mounting tabs. Had to pull off my 20 year old, rusty nuts from the originals. 3. Here's the big one: Frustratingly difficult fit. The mounting tabs are just a little off. When you install these lights, the tabs are off just enough that the screws don't reach in far enough to thread into the nut on the light. I basically had to push the lights towards the tailgate as hard as I could in order to get the bolts started. With the factory lights it takes 5 seconds. With these, I literally spent 20 minutes! All that said... These are still a good light so far and have the clear turn signal that I wanted. Just wish these were made to the factory specs. You should buy these if you don't mind doing a little custom work and have to have clear turn lens. Otherwise, get a factory set with the amber lens and save yourself 20 frustrating minutes every time you have to reinstall your lights.

Best option for the Second Gen 4Runner
It's almost impossible to find tail lights for the second gen 4 runner. This was my best option other than salvage sourced tail's. I have Depot lights on my Corolla and the quality is good so I figured I would give these a try. The mounting hardware needs to be removed from the old tail lights, and I needed one slightly longer bolt on the passenger side tail. but for the most part the fit was excellent. I would buy these again.

Worked out perfectly
Was really hrd to find for 90 4runner nad they met the nned as they were DOT approved and I was having brake and light test for a salvaged title so that was needed as I already had changed the headlights for not being DOT approved and had to change tailights because of cracks
