Nice product with easy to read scale.
Many pool thermometers measure from -10 f to +110 f. Why below freezing? Will you ever use a thermometer when your pool is -10 degrees? With a 120 degree range, the scale markings are tight together making the gadget hard to read. This Intex 2903E pool thermometer reads from +35 to +120 f, a range of 85. That's better although still way too wide for a pool/hot tub thermometer. But still, it's good. So, the markings are wider apart making it much easier to read. It looks nice, floats well, seems to be accurate enough, and I like it. I'm going to buy another for a friend.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very inaccurate
I ordered 2 of these thermometers, thinking that the old one we had in our pool was no longer accurate. I put both new ones in the pool for a couple of days and they read vastly different temperatures. One of them was 6 or 8 degrees above the other one. One was 2 degrees higher than the old thermometer and the other was 8 or 10 degrees higher. Bottoms Up!
Be prepared to weight this thermometer so it floats bottom down. Slide the black cap off the tube an load it with ballast. I used split shot from my tackle box. Reading seem to be fairly accurate. Acceptable pool thermometer
My only issue is that it gets caught in my skimmer if I don't tether it. If the head was a bit bigger or the body a bit longer I think it wouldn't get into the skimmer as often as it does.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Floats on its side
It works just fine as a thermometer but I was surprised to see that it floats on it side. The manufacturer could have weighted it differently. Ok thermometer but floats funny.
I guess because the thermometer floats cock-eyed in the water it is annoying. I originally thought it had an air bubble stuck in it. Nope it, just doesn't sit flat in the water. Inexpensive yet reliable
Purchased exclusively to monitor temps when drawing a bath, found this inexpensive solution to be quite reliable for avoiding hopping into a bath either too hot or too cold. And while acceptable bath temp range but just a few degrees, as compared to the device's operating range of temperatures, display clear enough to reliably and accurately make that crucial determination.
