Good reel for the price!
This is the newest version. Much better than the previous ones. It has the Centrifugal and Magnetic cast control systems. Very large spool that will hold upwards of 200 yards of 50 lb braided line. I've fished with it a few times but not in the boat. It's too cold for me to be out on the water. Hopefully it will warm up soon. Overall, I think the 300 is a much better and lighter reel than the competitor's 300 series. I've used both Shimano and Daiwa.
