Good compact alternative to compressor and nail gun

I do kitchen rejuvenation on my rental units, which includes renewing/refacing cabinets, coating countertops with epoxy, and installing LVP floors. I purchased the Ryobi cordless brad nailer to take the place of my usual Porter Cable compressor and nail gun. I used it today, and it seems to do the job. The only disappointment about the tool is that it takes a while to cycle (recharge) between the last brad nail and the next one. Otherwise, I am happy with this, since I can use the same 18+ battery packs with this tool, and it is definitely more convenient to bring to the job sites along with drill, saw, impact driver, and other tools, instead of having to bring the compressor, hose, and nailer - especially on those four floor walk ups!

Nice tool but heavier than air tools and a little slow to strike the nail/brad

I bought my tool as "previously owned" but this tool was received in like new condition with little or no evidence of use. I loaded it with two inch brads and it drove them flawlessly; however, I when I tried to shoot short brads (5/8 brads) it jammed repeatedly. The tool does not strike instantaneously with the pull of the trigger but is delayed momentarily as the built in compressor loads and strikes. Not a big deal but I find I like the air powered tool much better but for the fact that you must be tethered to (and own) a compressor . Quality is good, tool is a bit heavy which is to be expected in a battery tool; handles two inch brads well. I'm happy with the tool but I recognize it for what it is and its practical use. If you need a production type tool, get air power.

  • Powerful and well built..

Very satisfied with this nail gun.. it's so powerful that I was kind of skeptical about purchasing it but a neighbor of mine showed me the actual nailer and he gave such a great review. I said why not I trust his judgment so I went ahead and purchased one and I'm just completely satisfied with it next stop I will be buying the 16 gauge no more tanks no more hoses getting in the way what else can you ask for..

  • Great Brad Nasiler

Great Product, confusing manual! I have an air brad nail gun but it is difficult to use because of the hose. The unit is very easy to use and setup is easy to learn and use! The battery charge charges up the 4 amp battery quickly and displays the progress with LED's. Nice touch!

  • New tool

I used it for exactly the reason i purchased it, small job, done quickly. Did not need an air hose or compressor or anything else. Put a battery on it, put some nails in it, and done. First run it shot 1.5” brads with ease on about 50% power setting. Not but 20 nails through it but based on experience with Ryobi, have no doubts about durability.

  • WHY DIDN'T I BUY THIS SOONER!?

I love this tool! the moment I got it i realized just how much work I could do with it! it's easy fast and super portable, it's not as powerful as an air compressor nailer and can't use as big of nails but DAMN this thing is great for finish work and wood working!!! it's wonderful for tacking something together quickly as well, then going back with screws to make it permanent!!

  • The greatest tool I never knew I needed

I've been using air brad nailers for the last few years. Most of the work I've done around the house only required 16 or 18 gauge nails, so I've stuck to air tools. I have also gotten used to having to fight with those, constantly having to adjust them, clearing out jammed nails, making sure that the pressure is good, etc. I never knew there was an alternative. Needless to say, I didn't have great expectations for this electric brad nailer. I know Ryobi makes great tools, but there are still some battery powered tools that don't perform well. This one definitely overcome my expectations. From the first nail I fell in love with it. The setup was extremely simple, no adjustment necessary. I have gone through half a pack of nails and not a single nail got jammed. The airstrike is straight and true and the pressure is enough to drive a nail into a piece of solid wood without having to hammer it in. I didn't know I needed this, but this tool took an honorary spot in my toolbox.

  • Wow, what a deal!

I had one of these already and was in desperate need of another one. I was literally on my way to buy it from a big box store for much more money and this amazing deal came along. I ordered it right away and even got it 2 days ahead of time in the mail! I love this tool and use it for much more than they intended. I use it most days because it's such a convenient and amazing product!

  • Great value for home reno jobs.

I was skeptical about a battery powered brad nailer, but purchased the Ryobi P320 after reading all the reviews. Have shot about 200 2-inch-long 18ga brads so far (the max length this will handle), and it has performed flawlessly. I had to adjust the depth setting to get a sub-flush result, but it works great. Am nailing 1/2" thick red oak baseboards to drywall throughout the upstairs area of my home. This made the job much faster and easier; I hope the quality lasts through many other household projects. I can think of so many jobs I wish I'd gotten this for earlier! It's heavier than a pneumatic brad nailer, but I don't mind a little extra weight; it's not unwieldy, and that mass comes in handy when you want those brads to seat properly. Well balanced. I got the small (2.5AH) batteries to keep the bulk down when using; there is plenty of charge in those to last a long time. I can recommend this nail gun with confidence.

  • Great quality for the price!

Excellent quality, easy to set-up and use, lightweight, first time Ryobi user, I'm impressed! Only drawback, bare tool, have to purchase battery and charger separately!
