Accurate colors and printing but often reports "Low Ink" early, causing waste
Beautiful, accurate color reproduction and accuracy that is not at all matched by the unbranded versions of this cartridge. The colors I see on my monitor match exactly what I get on the paper after this ink cartridge prints them. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cartridge starts sending "low ink" message dozens of pages earlier than it really should. Depending on your print job, you may be able to get several dozen more pages printed perfectly but if you quickly change the cartridge, you're likely throwing out good ink. For that reason, I downgraded the value to a "no" answer because effective, useful, helpful messaging from the cartridge could better report actual status rather than encourage sales for Canon.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sorry Excuse for replacement Ink
Be very careful buying knock off ink cartridges. I bought both Color and Black ink for my Cannon Pixma Printer. Got the ink, Installed the ink as I have done dozens of times and the printer kept reporting it was out of ink. Sent an email to company and the reply was that Cannon will not allow this company to reset the ink level in the cart. They told me to go through several undulations to fake the printer into believing the cart was full but never being able to report to the printer software it was a new cart. Never could get the Black and Color carts to work. Went to Office Depot (the only store that carries the carts in my area), bought both Cannon Brand Color and Black carts, Installed the carts both black and color and WOW! It works! Companies should not be able to rip customers off like this, Total waste of money, and frustration at the lack of concern if the product works or not. Not for good quality prints, but the price is right
If the quality (meaning good contrast and color balance) of your prints is not important this ink is a good value. I bought it because I wanted to save some money but I had to return it. I spent an entire day making color corrections, attempting to get good prints from images I had recently printed successfully with Canon ink. The cartridge I used had a flat, cyan bias that I couldn't get rid of. I retired from a career in custom photographic printing so I feel that I know what I'm talking about. Another Quality Canon Product
Canon does well in their production of quality ink cartridges. In my experiences with them the only gripe I have with them is the warning for replacement comes on too soon and when it says it's totally empty it still good for many more pages. Good quality prints.
I always get good quality prints, but get frustrated that I always have to replace the cartridge during the annual printing of the Christmas cards. I wish it would last just a little longer.
