Durable and works great
This is a good remote with many adjustable features. You can really fine tune your car. The only problem I have with it is that it is difficult to navigate the menus and settings with the touch sensor even with the sensitivity adjusted. Once you get it configured it works great and has been durable. If I was to buy a remote again I would probably forego the rugged and get the pro 5 for easier setup.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Okay Radio, terrible interface
Overall okay radio, if I could go back in time I'd get the dx5C. Naming it rugged is a stretch, rubber offers a little bit more drop protection that the dx5C and I don't think there's really any water resistance, haven't taken it apart but I don't see any evidence of any gaskets and the rubber bumpers are held in dodgy and often come out of their slots, which expose the inside of the transmitter. It seems like a lot of features were afterthoughts. The interface is terrible after I got my truck setup, I haven't even messed with the settings, it's really hard to navigate menus and not being able to use the normal touch button layout to configure ESC's makes like you have 2 different button configurations depending on what you're doing, the cable to update the firmware so you can configure only a limited number of Smart ESC's is the same price as the program card which gives you more ESC's and offers a way more intuitive setup for your ESC. Really not impressed and I really wanted this to be my last radio for a while.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
