Works well and no false alarms
Many states now require only photoelectric smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors on each floor. Kills 2 birds with one stone if you have interconnects and especially when selling a house. They stand behind their product and if you have a defective unit (one unit in 10 years) they'll send you a new one with receipt of old one. You do have to complain more than normal. Firex was very compliant with customer concerns. They'd send a new one at the slightest malfunction. But the BRK's have been more reliable than Firex now Kidde.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice without a voice
This unit replaces my expired model that also had voice alerts. The unit hardly had a false alarm, which was good, but the voice was do annoying. Annoying in that it couldn't be understood. Buying the same unit without vocal chords was a no brainer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
