Just right!
These bags are biodegradable which is a real plus. I no longer have to worry about putting a plastic bag in the trash. The size is larger than most T shirt bags making them more convenient for my slightly oversized waste paper baskets. Enough room to hang over the edge some which I appreciate. Fighting back, one bag at a time.
I have never purchased a bag to hold my groceries in my life. Two days after the crazies in California voted to BAN the common plastic grocery bag in the last election, my local supermarket wanted to charge me ten cents for the same plastic shopping bag they gave me for free the previous week. After we ran out of the used bags that we use to line the garbage can we decided to just buy a supply of bags to take to the store and then use for trash afterward. eBay to the rescue. When we received the bag shipment, I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality was better than the old supermarket bags (heavier), they are slightly larger, and they did not have a hole in the bottom seam like many of the supermarket bags we were using. The bottom line is the bags are less than 2 cents each and last for several trips to the store and hold more trash when they are used for that purpose. Don't split and tear
Since the city of Chicago instituted their ridiculous plastic bag ban, which requires us to purchase bags in the store at seven cents per bag, I started purchasing my own. The bags at the store split down the middle as soon as anything with a corner is placed inside but not these. After I unpack the groceries, I use these for dog waste instead of purchasing poop bags and I also use these for vegetable scraps and meat packaging that I do not want to smell in my tall kitchen can. Perfect antidote to plastic bag ban
In my city, plastic bags are set to be banned soon, and paper bags will be 10 cents. This bag is exactly the same quality and composition as the ones sold at supermarkets, target and walmart. The whole purpose of bag fees is to get people to bring their own bags. If the elitist snobs want me to bring my own bag, I'll bring my own bags, just not the type that they are intending. I will bring my own disposable bags and dispose of them as I so choose. After our idiot governor banned these bags at grocery stores & replaced them with much heavier bags (still plastic) that you have to pay 8 cents each for we lost our source of these bags which we use over & over because they literally fit in your pocket so you don't forget them. These bags are used for wet garbage in the sink, lining waste baskets, cat litter removal, recycle storage of cans & bottles, collecting garbage on the beach, the list is endless.
