refrigerator water filter.
Filter is very good price and works. Had leaking problem with previous order. Had to remove O'ring and rework or smooth the groove surface where o'ring seals. The parting line on the injection mold leaves sharp lines 180 degrees apart on o'ring sealing surfaces and will leak when installed. Small file or lite scraping with pocket knife on the parting lines will take care of the problem. If it wasn't for this problem, it would be excellent rating. Looks identical to Samsung. Performance is not as good. Installed filter and ran a gallon through for cleaning as instructed. Filter new does not pass the flow of water indicated. 16 oz glass take twice as long to fill with this filter compared to Samsung brand. Great refrigerator water filter. The best I have found.
Great product that has a great tasting water and the water does not have a residual chlorine taste after it sits in a plastic bottle for a few hours. Have tried and used another brand for more than 10 years and the taste of the water was no where near the quality of the Tier 1 brand. good quality at a bargain price
I've purchased inexpensive filters before that had poor quality rubber "O" rings, and really didn't help the taste of the water being filtered. these "tier 1" filters are very reasonably priced (depending upon who you purchase them from), and are fitted with "O" rings that provide a leak-free seal. good value! just be aware that the locking mechanism on the new filters has been changed so that these new filters will NOT fit into the first-style socket.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quality not the same as before.
I ordered three filters and the filter element inside the plastic housing moves around inside. You shack the filter and you hear something rattle inside. All three filters are this way. The same filter (p/n the exact same) I ordered about two years ago did not do this.
